Is it ever possible to break a one year rental lease because of medical issues?

I have a one-year lease and have been in my current apartment for 2 months. The tenant upstairs makes so much noise it interferes with my sleep. Is it ever possible to break a one year rental lease because of medical issues?
I'm thinking if this is your own house, what are you gonna do? Your neighbor create too much noise. If it happens at night time, you can complain to the police. If it is other time and you sleep during the day, sorry you're out of luck cos' there's no rule regulate noise level during day time. Or are you just too sensitive to any noise/light?Is it ever possible to break a one year rental lease because of medical issues?
It depends on the state, but most likely noisy neighbors are not going to be considered sufficient.

Have you talked to the manager? Most likely the neighbor's lease has something about noise. If it is so excessive that it is audible outside, it might also fall under local noise regulations.
Read the fine print of your rental agreement. See if their is an clause for early termination. Speak with your landlord about the issue.
