Can someone else sign a rental lease for you?

depends on the lease agreement. if you're not allowed...then they can kick you out whenever they want....take your stuff and dump it ....or you might find out the locks have changed.

this happens when renters 'sublease' the property w/out the permission of the landlordCan someone else sign a rental lease for you?
no that would be considered forgery unless u gave ur consent for them to sign on ur behalf. Can someone else sign a rental lease for you?
You can CO-SIGN with someone with really good credit like your parents. The lease is primarily in your name, but if something goes wrong the co-signer is expected to pay. Having them co-sign makes you more likely to get approved for the lease, assuming their credit is better than yours.

I think someone else can also make all your lease payments and you can just live there if you want, if that's what you are asking, but it ultimately depends on the place you live. Consult with the leasing agents where you are planning on living.

Oh, also, if you are just talking about putting a physical signature on a piece of paper, someone else cannot sign your name unless you give them power of attorney for this purpose (and please give it to them FOR THIS PURPOSE ONLY!). Ask about this in the legal issues section.
