Possible to transfer a rental lease?

So I'm renting a house that I just signed a lease for. I haven't moved in yet. Today I noticed that the company that I'm renting from has another house on their site that is closer to where I go to school. Has anyone ever heard of or know if it's possible to transfer a lease to a new property?Possible to transfer a rental lease?
If the company is willing, since it's still within the same company, they could sign off on a preemptive closing of the lease without penalty. At which point they would resign you to the new property. That's to the discretion of the company in though.Possible to transfer a rental lease?
The previous posters are correct to a certian extent. Management companies represent serveral owners. If the ';other'; home is owned by the same owner as the one you just leased, it shouldn't be a problem. However, if they are two different owners the managment company has a fidicuary obligation to force you to stay with the first one.

Many times if you have not moved in yet, they will allow you to transfer the lease, but technically, you'll have to sign a new lease because the address is a legal requirement on the lease.

The sooner you ask, the more likely they are to allow it.
Why not call the people who would know the answer the rental company and ASK!
