Take my name off my rental lease?

I currently live with 2 other roomates in an apartment. All 3 of our names are signed on the lease. I plan to move out pretty soon (can't stand it there cuz it's gotten pretty ghetto) and those 2 are going to stay there. They are able to afford it on their own. The lease says its a year lease, but it also says if we're to move out, to give at least a 60 day notice (regardless if the year is up or not), so I'm thinking it's not one of those year leases thats hard to get out of. Anyways, am I able to take my name off the lease easily so I'm not liable if those 2 have problems paying the rent? Do I still have to give that 60 day notice? The apartment isn't being vacated, it's only me moving out.Take my name off my rental lease?
Actually if you move out before your 1 year lease is up, the LL will not remove you from the lease until it is up. Unless the other two roommates agree to sign a new lease with just the two of them one it. This also means that any security deposit that was given to the LL, stays until the end of the lease. Because you decide you dont want to live there, doesnt mean the lease is broken. But you are still responsible for any and all parts of the lease. The only way to cover yourself for any damages is to have the LL sign a paper stating that you no longer live there and will not hold you responsible for any rents or damages as of xxx date. This way he cannot come back to you for past due rent or damages that have occured after that date. Also, have him do a walk through inspection to show that when you move out, there are no damages. However, you will have to wait until the end of the lease for your portion of the deposit UNLESS the other two roommates are willing to come up with the amount you put down.Take my name off my rental lease?
read the lease carefully for I am sure their is a cause stating that all of you or each of you can be held liable for all cost in regard to rental

now on the sixty day notice to end lease? does it state each of you separately can end their legal obligation under the lease or do all of you must give sixty day notice to end?

also if you are looking to get your security deposit back then the landlord will need to do a walk threw when you leave, even though they are staying to sign off, then most likely the other two will have to make up the difference of the security deposit

But just leaving will not get the job done, need at least to give 60 day notice, and try to work with landlord to get the security deposit back
When multiple people sign a lease, everyone that signed is liable for the full amount should there ever be a shortfall. You don't need to tell your landlord anything, because they don't care, your name will not be coming off the lease. Work this out with your roommates, either they can agree to pay your share for the extra space, or you can keep paying your share until they find another roommate.
Give notice to the landlord and copy your roomates that you do not intend to continue with the lease. This allows your roomates to re-sign a new lease without you as a party.

Under the lease, you are liable jointly and individually. So you must terminate the tenancy ';AS IF'; you were the only tenant on the lease by giving your notice to the landlord and copying your co-tenants.
