hi i am a mother of two and my husband is in the army. We got into an apartment and they are taking our whole housing money and nothing is included. I don't think we can afford this place because a sgt. next door is having a hard time too. I found a house to rent for 750 which is alot lower then what we are playing now. Your husband can talk to his command- they can often help in lease situations. If that doesn't work, speak with your landlord. If he is faced with a rentor who may not be able to pay on time he might allow you to leave early.

Your best bet would be to talk to the landlord. They all have different rules. Some will let you out if you give up your security deposit. Some will let you out if you find a new tenant to take the unit. Some will not let you out and give you a hard time. Hopefully if you explain your situation then they will be understanding, and would rather have a tenant that they know can pay.


With the new house, just keep in mind that heat and electric bills will probably be higher if the place is bigger, plus you will probably have extra bills to pay, such as water and snow-plow service! Good luck.

You should have thought about it before you signed the papers. You will have to read your lease to see what the panlties are for breaking the lease. You can explain your situation to the landlord and see if they will start advertising to find new tenants, but your are on the hook for the payments until they can find someone new.
