I signed a rental lease that does not have the term on the lease. Is this lease still binding? Repercussions?

If the term is not on the lease and I wanted to vacate the premises, could the landlord sue for me for leaving early and recoup monies that won't be paid over a year (the lease was supposed to be for a year).I signed a rental lease that does not have the term on the lease. a judge would reaonably ask you

';why did you sign this?';

if in fact, it had no terms, how can

a landlord have recourse for

leaving early when leaving early

has the presumption of a date

to base EARLY on?
