Needing to break rental lease because of neighbors dogs?

i live in rental accommodation and the neighbors dogs are barking constantly,i have tried everything and animal control and im not getting anywhere.I have lost out on two jobs as i am a nurse, and to secure a job u have to b available for ALL shifts and i cant do nites as am kept awake all day.

I have 4 months left on my lease and dont know if i can get out of it,i have to move.I dont want to have to pay for those 4 months as dont have the money.Would still stay with same real estate, but just have to move from where i am.Does anyone know if there is a clause acceptable to break my lease with this problem.I cant find it on the form i gave when i moved in.The neighbor is with another rental organisation and i cant find out who.Im left with no option,i have to move as unfair as it is.HELP!!!!!!Needing to break rental lease because of neighbors dogs?
Have you tried talking to your neighbour ??

If no luck-- get a 'lawyer' or even friend to write a letterto them %26amp; if you can their land lord too eplaining their dog is disturbng the peasece ( espically if at night - most towns / cities have noise laws - eg no loud parties after 12 etc) and if they don't take thir dog in or find it a more suitable home where it can freely bark - you'll b forced to take legal action -- doesnt mean you will , just explain the situation %26amp; if that doesnt work take them to smal claims court for l neglect of animals which has effected you financially %26amp; of course emotionally --- make sure your keeping a journal %26amp; record the dog if you can

- it's NOT the dogs fault - its the owners fault %26amp; they should be owning dogsNeeding to break rental lease because of neighbors dogs?
it's people like you who are the reason i have no place for me, my husband, and my five month old baby to live. we've been living with my step dad for 2 1/2 months, and lived in a camper in my dad's back yard for 3 months, and even though my husband was making good money, we still could not save enough for a deposit so we could have a decent place to live. our animals are very well behaved, and they only bark for a minute when someone knocks on the door, but it is still not fair. we refuse to get rid of our pets because we got them when we thought i couldn't get pregnant, and they became our babies. suck it up, we need that companionship....maybe you should get a pet, no, maybe not, you'll probably beat him for looking at you funny. you disgust me!!
Okay, first I would place this question in another category, one that deals with real estate problems because this isn't a dog problem as such. Second, you don' t say where you live but most noise control laws only cover night time, which as you say is very unfair.

Third, if you decide you do really have to move, I would go to your management agent or landlord and explain the situation. If you just break your lease without negotiating or explaining, you could be liable for damages, which will certainly be spelt out in your lease if you look closely. You really don't want to do that.

You may well find that if you talk to the landlord or agent, they will be sympathetic and agree to let you move out as soon as they can find another tenant. They might just ask you to pay for the cost of re-advertising the vacancy. I wish you luck!

.
Contact the people that hold your lease and explain the problem.. Maybe they have a good idea for you..
I sympathise with you as we have had the same trouble recently. We went to the local council and they have sent a ranger out to try to sort the problem out. The other neighbours have also complained to council, so maybe some of your neighbours are suffering the same. The local council will make the dog owners keep their dogs quiet. It's not just barking when someone goes into their yard, but consistent barking all day until the owners come home from work. Incidentally, we did go to the owners of the dogs first but they couldn't or wouldn't do anything about it.
Did you ask the neighbors to have their dogs stop barking? Have you ever heard of earplugs? Did you make a noise complaint to your landlord? Do you have any idea how many people are awake for 24 hours by the time they get out of work, that is a RIDICULOUS excuse to call out of work, there is always something you can do to reduce the noise or ~gasp~ do without sleep for a shift or two. Trust me, after being awake for 24 hours, you will be able to sleep the next day.
