Will joining the military break my rental lease?

I'm in a rental lease of a house (with 2 room mates) until August. It's my name on the contract, and the landlord is probably willing to break it in April, but not any sooner. Since I want to talk to a recruiter and join in January, would that force him to break the lease? Would I have to wait until I get shipped to basic training? Would I have to wait until I transferred to somewhere else, or what if I stayed in Utah (where I live)Will joining the military break my rental lease?
Under the Service Memebers' Civil Relief Act of 2003, your landlord has to break your lease within 30 days of you furnishing military PCS orders. Your contract, with a ship date, would serve as these orders. Will joining the military break my rental lease?
I have been a military wife for quite a few years now and everytime we move, we just give 30-days notice, our new address and a copy of our PCS orders.

If you live in Utah now and know you will be back in Utah after Basic and AIT, then you can just keep paying rent. Otherwise, you need to tell your landlord that you in the military and need to break your lease.

They have to let you go and you will pay for 30-days following the day you give notice. If not, go see JAG or someone in the legal office on base to take care of it for you.

You have the right to get out of your lease for the military.

You can't break the lease until you have ORDERS - i.e. the paper that says the date you report to Basic.
DOOM is correct. The exception to this though is that you must check your existing lease. You must ensure that your lease doesn't state that you waive your rights under the SCRA of 2003. If it does state this, you're kinda screwed. You'll either have to continue to pay the lease or pay a termination fee.
As long as you still pay the rent on that place, you can keep your lease.
Read your lease agreement with a fine-toothed comb, then take it to a lawyer so he/she can interpret the legalese.
Joining the military will not release you from your lease.
