I am curious why they would be different but the answer is no. There is no government agency that sits around and compares addresses. There should be no negative implications unless there is some sort of deliberate misrepresentation taking place as part of a fraud or other illegal activity.Does the address on the rental lease agreement have to be the same as the address on the income tax return?
It helps the IRS to have the addresses align. It is not required by law. /
